What is wood vinegar and what is it good for?
Wood vinegar is one of the most useful byproducts of biomass pyrolysis. It is a natural, biological product that can be used for various purposes, one of which is related to ecological, sustainable agriculture (organic farming). Wood vinegar can be used for the following purposes, with varying dilution ratios:
- Biological insecticide (pesticide) that helps protect against pests. It strengthens the natural resistance (resistance) of plants.
- Plant nutrient supplement (foliar and soil fertilizer) that improves soil quality and can accelerate root development in plants. It is often used to increase the quantity and quality of fruit produced in orchards.
- Improves the germination ability of seeds after soaking for 24 hours.
- Reduces unpleasant odors from the decomposition of animal-derived fertilizers.
- Facilitates composting by accelerating the biological decomposition of biomass and promoting the development of healthy soil biology.
